Welcome to 7th grade Math!

Get ready to take off on an adventure in math. I hope that you will enjoy some of the cool things I have planned for us this year. This website is for parents and students, but primarily for parents to see what is happening in our classroom.

We will be using Mathia computer program to help us understand the concepts we will be learning. This is something that the student will be able to complete at school (there will be designated time) and at home. The website for the student to sign on is www.CarnegieLearning.com. Their user name is their student number (60000_ _ _ _) and the password is Camp_ _ _ _ (last four digits of their student number).

There are five units we will complete - Unit 1 Proportionality, Unit 2 Operating Signed Numbers, Unit 3 Intro to Algebra, Unit 4 Probability, and Unit 5 Geometry. I will be giving daily homework Monday through Thursday - weekends are for them!

A few things I expect in our classroom are respect, to be responsible, ALWAYS try your best, and to make mistakes.

Sometimes we look for inspiration in the wrong places. In my opinion itâs not just the obviously âiconicâ people that have all the answers, like the Einsteins and the Richard Bransons of the world.â¦
